Could not duplicate the concern, but did notice other possible issues. There were multiple codes in the ABS unit, one of which was a faulty speed sensor. We replaced the drivers rear speed sensor and cleared all the codes. Test drove and none of the codes returned, and we still could not duplicate the EPC light coming on.

Inspected for dye on the entire A/C system. Did not see any external leaks. Used "sniffer" to check for refrigerant leaks and did get a slight detection around the expansion valve area where it bolts to the evaporator core. More than likely the prior diagnosis was correct and the leak is in the evaporator. We would replace the HVAC box, and all associated orings.
